Also, I think that the poster is referring to color accuracy throughout the entire color space, and not just at the gamut boundary.

No, the blue uv error wasn't a typo, the data was copied from CalMAN and pasted into Excel. CalMAN did the error calculations for dE 1994 and dEuv.

Coordinates for blue were

x 0.1551
y 0.061
Y 0.5787

Those coordinates don't seem far enough off for the Blue dEuv to be 8.7, but that's what CalMAN calculated. The patterns were 75% (roughly 50% stim).

Oddly, the out of box coordinates were worse but the dEuv came out at 5.8
The factory coordinates were 0.1553 / 0.0596 / 0.686

Target coordinates for blue are listed as 0.15 / 0.06 / 0.6728 for the Factory (out of box)
and Y target for the calibrated result was 0.5823 (there was a change in luminance between out of box and calibrated)

The Y standard for blue is 0.0772. 0.5787 is wildly over-bright for blue. You must mean 0.0579. For THAT color, the CIE94 value is 3.8 and the CIELUV value is 15.5.

The best way to set Color/Saturation on any display with a Blue Only feature like the Samsungs is to use SMPTE Color Bars (75%), separate Blue and adjust according to the panel. Typically I set Samsungs at either 46 or 47 for Color and it looks correct. Try that.

Hello, do you still set the Color/Tint controls if you have a full featured CMS? Is it necessary to do both? I have a pn51d6500.
