Denon 1912, 1913 or 2112

I already have a 1909 and love it. So it's time to replace a 12 year old Yamaha. I was shopping around for the 1912 and have seen that the 1913 is the same price or a little cheaper. Then I found that the 2112 is much cheaper than either of the 191x models. I'm aobut a month away from purchase so pricing may change, but would the 2112 be the better choice?

What features do you care about? What will be hooked up to it? And why not use the 1909? Is it for a different room?

the 1909 is in another room.
As for features, the 1912 meets my needs. So then is the 1913 an improvement over the 1912? Is the 2112 better than both? In the end, saving some money always counts.

If the 2112 is the cheapest then it’s an easy decision. If they were all the same price I would still take the 2112 over the 1912/1913 because of MultEQ XT. The only real advantage I can see for the 1913 is the ability to use airplay independently in a second zone.

Have you tried calling around to the various authorized Denon dealers? I was recently looking at the same devices and decided on the 2112. Upon calling JR they had the 2113 at the same price as the 1913 and 2112. This was a week and a half ago so not sure if they are offering the same deals. I really wanted AirPlay on zone without the ATV so the 2113 is what I went with.

On Amazon - the price seems to have gone UP $100 from about a week ago. OneCall is also advertising a price similar to Amazon. I'm confused by this increase in the price now that the xx13s are out. How are you finding the 2112ci for cheaper?

Prices vary all the time. Check deal aggregator sites. Also, for Amazon, if you use Firefox or Chrome then get an add-on called "The Tracktor" which will show you price histories on Amazon pages.

Call again, and again if need be, it seems to depend on who you get, eventually you should get someone to come down on it. Be persistent, I probably called 8 different authorized resellers, and some of those 4 or 5 times, before I made a purchase. Good luck!
