Hi,

I am moving to new home soon and would like to do Security setup ..... I don't have any idea of the systems..
I need only the burglar's security.....not much interested in automation.
Can you please suggest a good DIY wireless(Because the home is already finished) Home security system...

Entry level Ademco or dsc should suit you well.

Buy your hardware from a vendor or dealer who will give you good support, for troubleshooting.

A system with PC programming is easiest, rather than using a keypad.

Lots of great tips at the cocoontech.com forums. Try the Home Security subforum.

Retrofitting hardwired door and window contacts is a PITA, but adding a couple hardwired keypads is often pretty easy (if you have an attic above or crawlspace below).
