I heard this scene through a pair of Vandersteen 5As, back in the day. Absolutely by far, the most amazing bass I've ever heard, even to this day. That includes commercial theaters.

Sorry you missed the memo but the Mayan's just updated their calendar and we have a little past 3500 now. Should be enough time to watch all your movies a few times.

Woot! I can't wait!
Any hope this will include an aquarium screensaver as one of the special features?

Wow! That must have been awesome. It is a fantastic demo scene for sure.

Thanks for the tip! Hmm, too bad it's not available for the non-3D version. Considering I bought all the other Pixar Blu-rays for under $20 on release day, I think I'll wait on this...

Don't all 3D disc play 2D also ?

They should, but I'm only thinking about cost. $35-$8=$27. If the coupon applied to the $28 2D version, then it would be $20. I'm not paying over $20.
Got ya. Damn, I saw the coupon and I thought that was off the $27 and still wasn't going to bite.
Ehh, I bit for $27. If it goes down any between now and release, the pre-order will drop in price too. if it doesn't drop, $27 for it seems like a good deal to me. Not spectacular, but a good deal, and I know I will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Agreed. There is always deals on these Pixar releases release week that beat any preorder deals.

It will inevitably drop in price. My guess is $24.99-$26.99. With $8 coupon, it'll be under $20. With Amazon's pre-order guarantee, there's nothing to worry about.

Yep, that is exactly what I was thinking, and didn't want to let the extra $8 from the coupon slip away. I'm hoping to end up with it for right around $18, give or take a dollar, or two.

No. It all depends on how it was authored. If it doesn't contain a 2D playback option then it is packaged with a separate 2D disc. Personally I like this option better since colors/brightness can be boosted on 3D encode to help with the image darkening caused by 3D glasses. The recent Underworld 3D disc had its 2D compromised on the disc but the 3D was pretty good.

From the press release:

"Featuring pristine high definition picture and sound, the Blu-ray creates an incredible at-home experience with a host of interactive features and bonus features including 3D Virtual Aquariums, 2D Virtual Aquariums, CineExplorer, a Filmmaker Roundtable and more."

Yee ha about time. Can't wait, I've been hanging out to watch this on Blu and add to my Pixar collection.
I reference quality DVD at the time of it's release. I can only imagine what the BD and even the 3D BD will look like. Day 1 purchase!

Ditto! I only have the VHS.

Will get it on day and date and bring it home all excited and my six year old will be like um, I have already watched that 20 times. LOL. At least that is what happened for Incredibles, TS 1 and 2.

It will still be cool to watch in my theater and see how the 4x18 IB handles the tank tap. - not to mention the visuals in this.

I thought I was the only one who enjoyed the screen savers of the different menus on the DVD. I always thought a screen saver like that would be nIce on the pc.

Not a day 1 purchase for me. Breaking in the vault and boosting one the night before. Anyone wanna ride along?

Even at $27, this is one that I would pay that for hands down because it's that big of a must have in my collection. I haven't checked but is Disney still doing their $8 rebates with the DVD UPC's?
