Err dumb question? - re: Cooling and Cabinets

Hey guys - I wasn't sure where to put this so I put in this forum.

I have a home theater, built-in cabinet in my Media room that's about 5' tall (top chamber, at least), ~29" deep and consists of about 5 shelves. The shelves are around 25" deep, leaving about 3-4" of space BEHIND the shelves to run cable, heat to rise, etc.

I also have an A/C return vent at the top of the cabinet (inside) for the purpose of exhausting (and sucking) heat out of the cabinet. I will have 2 amps, a pre-pro, HTPC, dvd player and xbox360 in this cabinet. Cabinet has two front doors (one left and right; have to open both to gain full access) that run the span of the height, inset with glass.

My question is - I'm still concerned about heat build up with the doors closed. I was wondering if it would be a good/bad idea to place a fan at the top of the cabinent (where the A/C return vent is) to further pull heat up and out of the cabinet.

Is this a bad idea? My thought was when the A/C is running, it'll be constantly pulling; but when it's off, there won't be any vaccuum unless I add a fan...

Throw a thermometer in the cabinet and watch it for a bit. That way you could see exactly how hot it is getting with the AC off.

A couple extra fans would never hurt. Make sure you have good ventilation at the bottom so good air can get pulled into the cabinet when the bad air gets pulled out the top.
