Game recommendation for ages 6 to 8

Actually, I'm looking for a game for my middle aged sister, who is mentally disabled.

She just got an Xbox 360, but has no experience with a game controller. I rented a Disney game from Redbox that was rated ages 10+, but it was too difficult for her. Having to move the toggle stick and push buttons at the same time got her frustrated. Perhaps when she gets used to using the controller she will improve, but I think if I can't find something simpler to play she's just going to get turned off to the whole thing.

Her interests are Disney, Jonas Bros., music. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Double Fine Happy Action Theater would be my first thought. Kinect, but it's more about having fun than completing goals. Peggle also a good bet. One stick, or one button to move at a time, then the ball performs the very satisfying action of bouncing around for a while.

Thanks. Does it require Kinect? She doesn't have that, and right now we don't have plans to get it (maybe down the road). We actually got the Xbox for her to use as a DVR.

She had no problems using the DirecTv one, but now they switched to cable.

Just watch a Youtube demo of Double Fine Happy Action Theater. Wow! That looks like a blast! But it looks like Kinect only.

Hopefully there will be one in her future, maybe in a few months.

I'd also recommend Happy Action Theater for the Kinect as it's not really a game in terms of performance goals. You just move around and what you do produces actions on the screen. very cool augmented reality. like birds landing on your shoulder. the kid doesn't have to do anything but watch the screen, move around and see what they can make from their movements.

right now, they have refurbished Kinects at bestbuy.com for $80.

and another good Kinect game that doesn't require handholding by a parent is Fantastic Pets. You just load up the child's pet that she created (or you create it for her). and then let her control the pet either through movement or voice. like she can throw the ball and the pet fetches.
