I just finished my platform for my chairs, came out great in my opinion.

About $200 worth of stuff at Home Depot and a few hours of my time.

Looks good, but do you have more pictures and details on your complete setup? Looks like a FROG room...!

It is a FROG, although up North they do not call it that, we just call it a Bonus Room over the Garage.

I will take More Pictures when complete.

I have Chase Home Theater Speakers, 5 SHO-10's for Front/Center/Rears, Dual VS-18.1's with Dayton AMP. If you not have heard of Chase Home Theater I highly recommend them. I have a Denon 4311, Oppo BDP-93, and a Sharp 60" LED.

The room is 14x24 roughly, but as you can see the ceiling slopes down on the sides.

I am still waiting for a few posters to hang, I have to clean up the mess I made, and last I have to zip-tie the wires and find some kind of tubing to hide them in so they are not as noticable.

Will be complete by the end of this week.

How high is you riser and does that back left chair feel comfortable to sit in or cramped do to ceiling?

Knee walls 4ft?

Knee walls are exactly 4 feet, I have no issues sitting in any of the chairs and I am 5'11". The Riser is 2x10's with 3/4 inch plywood wrapped in carpet so slightly over 10" high. I used the calculator that they have on this forum, it suggested 10 5/8". I am slightly under that and it works fine.

Here are a couple of quick Cell phone pics, sorry about the quality of the pictures. Keep in mind I am not done, should be close to 100% by the end of the week, have to tidy up and do finishing touches.

The VS-18.1's make the room Shake during certain scenes. I have only watched a couple movies, but during Iron Man when he make his suit while captured, when he first puts the suit on and starts his escape you "FEEL" like your there with him, thats how good it sounds.

This looks great. In our new house we are having a very similar sized space. You said dimensions roughly 14x24 with a 4ft knee wall. What is your ceiling height and does it have a flat ceiling in the middle at all? If so how wide is it? Whas your bonus stick framed or is it trusses?

14x24, ceiling 8'5" and it is flat about 42 inches wide at the top.

Not sure on the Trusses or stick built, but if I were to guess I would say stick built.

From what I am gathering Stick built can offer you more room internally and more open attic space. Trusses tend to need a little more of the attic space for bracing and make the rooms slightly smaller. Your dimentions are pretty close to the estimate we where given with our initial truss setup. We are trying to get the trusses designed for the bonus with a stepped floor to avoid building large heavy risers. We plan on having 2 steps which means a much larger riser than you built.

Very nice setup. I just received 5 Fusion Escapes from Roman the other day and couldn't be more thrilled. The leather is actually nicer than the leather on both my living room and family room sofas that we paid a considerable amount for.
The motorized headrest probably won't see much use unless I'm fully reclined, but it's good to know it's there when I need it.
