Smart TVs Netflix and subtitles

Hi i just bought Sony 32EX720 TV which has Bravia Internet Video supporting Netflix.

Just found out that subtitles are not supported although Netflix states diferently.

I would like to know, whther any of you is having "SmartTV" which support subtitles (CC) and its working :-).

If interested you can also find thread "Netflix and subtitles " which has a lot of information about different devices (cant post url since i am new).

Please let me know.

If you are a subscriber--Open the Netflix app on your Sony. Click on a movie or tv title to open the summary page. Look at this screencap-

If you see ''Audio and subtitle'' on the summary page column, it means that title has captions/subtitles. You must manually click it (on EACH & EVERY title) for the captions to show, there is no auto setting to enable them each time you watch something...
Not all titles offered in Instant Watch feature captions.

Thank you for reply.

But i must say, my TV has different version of Netflix application :-(

The only audio options are while watching movie itself, but it has no subtitle option neither.

Maybe it will help other people when deciding.

On my Roku 2s when I turned captions on they stayed on for everything that had them. I never had to to turn it on again.

Oh boy...it doesn't look like that app has the Audio & caption capability. Check the following titles (that have captions when using the PS3 app) to see for sure.

Limitless

The Lincoln Lawyer

Meet Joe Black

 

If you still don't see this option listed, then the app doesn't have it. Sorry.
