Hi
We are upgrading from our Sony CRT TV to a LG-55LM7600 . We wanted to do home theatre setup too. Both me and my husband are very bad in this area.
We went to best buy a lot of times and we liked the pioneer Elite VSX-51 . I wanted the dual channel so that when one is watching the TV I can play music for my daughter in her room. I would like to know if this is a good choice.
Next, with the speaker selection my head is spinnning. After a while my ears feel everything is good
We listened to the Def Tech 5.1 and the Energy book shelves at best buy. We liked the energy. But the lowest was $299 a pair . That would be a lot of money for 5.1 I read about energy take 5.1 at amazon . But I am not sure if those will be good for our room size. I read other posts mentioning Jamo . I don't know where to go and listen to them.
So, any pointers in the right direction would be good. Since our new TV is 3D we might watch movies for a while in summer. After that it would primarily be music. Classical and instrumental mostly . Movie music too. May be we might watch more 3D.
Thanks,
Calif_mom
