Best TV for Gaming

I am looking to buy a new tv. I want it to watch movies on but to also play video games. I am really particular about the response time of a tv because I have always played Halo and prefer the jerkeyness that tube tvs allowed. I have played on some LCD flat screens and I really don't care for the input lag. Just the small amount of time it takes to react is frustrating to me. So I am open to any input on what the best game to play Halo would be. I do not have a preference on size and if you suggest a smaller TV for gaming and a different one for Movies please feel free to let me know. I appreciate any help and information anyone can give.

I would suggest a high end brand such as Vizio,Panasonic,Samsung and Toshiba, other generic brands such as haier,apex,Emerson,Sylvania are garbage. Use the best connection method available (HDMI) and you might want to make sure it has SRS enhancements.

Damn! You beat me too it Plasmas probably have the least amount of lag time but there are some LCDs that others have reported are fine for gaming.

Vizios along with samsung, panasonic and toshiba usually perform better than the other brands I listed. Plus the TVs that have the SRS enhancements are always the vizio or panasonic ones.

Vizio may be better than those others you listed but Vizio has never been considered "hi-end". Vizio has always been considered "budget"

I don't get it. Vizio has high-end TV? Get one of those LG Cinema 3D TVs to make sure you are getting real high-end. It is just a bit more expensive than Vizio but really well worth the extra money. And it is an established TV brand.
