Pioneer SC-37 vs Denon AVR-3808

Hi
I have been happy with the Denon, but now a local dealer has a good deal on the Pioneer
It will be used only for movies, not music
I have read about the extremely clear and dynamic sound from the Pioneer, but you never know until you get new gear in your own living room
Is the Pioneer a better unit than the Denon?
Thanks
Jakob

I actually have both receivers and I prefer the SC-37 for movies. The only negative I will say is that you can't apply individual crossover for speakers and it don't EQ below 63hz. It is a powerhouse receiver for sure and it's rated very well in 5 channel and 7 channel power. I just got a nice deal on a new 5009 and I will see how it sounds. I'm sure the XT32 will be a nice improvement since I just purchased another SVS PB Plus sub to go with my other one.
