Was not sure what forum to put this in, mods please move it if so needed.

Was wonder for those that hung their flat panel on the wall, where did you put your Kinnect & Wii sensors?
I was thinking a small shelf above the TV maybe?

I'm an "above the fireplace" TV guy. But in my last place I stuck the Wii sensor underneath the TV with some tape. This place I have it set on the mantle on top of my center channel.

The Kinect is much larger, so I don't think my tape idea would work as well for that . . .

When the stand is removed from a TV, there is a supplied cover plate for the hole that is left. I drilled a couple holes in that and used it as a mounting point for my wii sensor since the tape and velcro always failed. You could also do the same thing with the Kinect or Playstation Eye. Some thin sheet metal and some small nuts and bolts can hold any of them just fine.

I used a small shelf mounted an inch or so above the screen. The shelf was cheap, maybe $6 from target. I'll get the particulars from the wife and will post an update later. I'll attach a picture as well. It worked perfectly, very clean looking.

It's a plastic shelf from Walmart, $10. I notched out a spot in the back so the cable would fit between the wall and shelf. The hole is only large enough for the cable to fit in it. I used a drill bit and held the bit flat against the shelf, it cut/melted right into the plastic. Worked perfectly. You don't see the cable hanging down from the seated position, the shelf looks like it's resting on top of the tv.

How high up from the floor is your shelf/sensor?

Our WII sensors rests on top of the center speaker which is about 6" below the TV and about 3' off the floor.

I have wii only and I cut the end off and wired a 12volt transformer the just plugs in to the wall and then it just rests on my center channel

(My wii is not close to my screen)
