I have a new LG 55LM8600 LED set and the Yamaha S401 soundbar and receiver.
The soundbar is connected to the included receiver. HDMI Control is enabled on the receiver.
I have an HDMI cable running from HDMI 1 (ARC) on the receiver to the HDMI 1 (ARC) port on the TV.
The HDMI Control feature is apparently called Simplink on the LG and I have that turned on.
I have the TV speakers turned off.
I am not connected to cable. I only stream content.
I try to watch Netflix via the Netflix app included with the TV. No sound. Just picture.
I am uncertain what to set the input to on the TV. Do I set it to HDMI 1 or to TV (since the content is coming from the TV Netflix app via the wifi connection)?
If I do the Sound Test available on the set in its settings, sound comes through the soundbar.
What am I doing wrong? I am not finding the LG manual very helpful.
