What I meant by height was the height of the seat cushion from the floor. When I sit on the Jives, my feet touch the floor. When I sit on the Tribues, my feet are around 6 inchess off the floor. Normally that would bother me, but I always raise the footrest anyway. Also, the extra 6 inches of seat cusion height helps me see over the front row better.
The seat backs are plenty tall. I am 5'9" and my head comfortably hits the headrest portion of the seat back. When I recline, it gets longer due to the angles changing, so there is more room open. My only complaint is due to my setup - I am using two loveseat arrangements. This means each chair only gets one arm. The problem is if you are going to use the tray AND the cup holder - the tray covers the cup holder unless you angle it just right. Not a big deal, as I just place the tray on my lap anyway.
