Wish there was a comparison to the HD DVD version or the US Universal BD or was that never released?.

I can't imagine the HD DVD looking very different from the Universal BD. In any case the new Criterion scan is vastly superior (unless you're of the opinion that a bit of teal or different framing overrides every other aspect of the image quality.)

It has happened many times with Universal so it's easy to imagine.
