Hi, for heavens sake, WHY have you removed the support for the mobile app to this forum??? VERY frustrating eek.gif
I love this forum, no doubt about it, but I miss the app!

Yes, I've read some of the other threads about this subject, which also states that the future will bring a mobile app back on the field, I'll just have to wait then, because I don't want the tapatalk app.
Thx for your reply Mike ;-)

Just to be clear...Their will not be another mobile "APP." It will be HTML5 which will work in any mobile browser.

Thats good to read. Please be aware...That is a third party app. We did not make one cent from the sale. So, if you have issues, go to them. LOL wink.gif

It great that html 5 works in any browser but the format sucks for an iphone and is unuseable to cluttered.

Hi...we have not rolled out the HTML5 version as of yet. Won't be for some time as it is still under development. TapaTalk is more or less what you can use if you care to purchase it.

Hi David,
Is there a "status page" for the html5 rollout. I have read elsewhere that it is "coming soon", but you say it is not coming "for some time". Do you have a rough ETA? Weeks, Months?

Thanks!
Sorry to say it is few months is what I am told. (I was told 2 weeks, but that was a mistake.) But I will say, I have seen the alpha in read only mode and thus far, well, it should make people very happy. Very fast and light weight and can be used with anything with a browser.

Just got an iPad and iPhone a couple of weeks ago - downloaded the application and now see it doesn't work anymore.

Agree with others - the current web format doesn't on an iPhone.

well, after weeks of no avs for me, I started searching as to why my ios apps wasn't working anymore....this is sad news. The ios app was great and my sole method of viewing the site. It was quick and easy to use. Using the browser on idevices is anything but quick. Thats too bad, sad to see the ios app go

I agree with all of the above. I am very disappointed that support for iOS has ended. I loved that app and it was 90% of the way I kept up on AVS. Really, really, unfortunate!

Obviously push notifications won't work with a HTML5 web page. Do they work with Tapatalk for this forum?
Tapatalk is very buggy with AVS and admins have said they are not working on fixing it and don't plan to unfortunately. It does work great with other forums...

Definitely do NOT buy it just for AVS - Issues such as not keeping track of posts you read, new posts, and quotes not displaying correctly make it a really poor experience.

Man, I miss Push Notification using ForumRunner.

I used to be on AVSForum everyday because of those notifications, haven't been visiting as much lately.

Same here, not visiting often these days. I'm about to delete Tapatalk from iPhone and iPad. Buggy and can't even connect to AVS last couple of tries. I'm using browser on iPad instead. Really, really looking forward to a better mobile option.

-1 here as well.

Definitely not on as much due to no mobile client.

Tapatalk on Android has been super buggy as well, and last few days could not connect.

So far so good with the mobile web based forum access. That's how I'm using it right now. Ditched Tapatalk since I don't use it for anything else now.

Glad you like it!
