PIONEER PUZZLE

Hi everyone, just joined for some collective wisdom, I'm trying to do away with streaming movies and such via PS3 or Apple tv and thought I'd go straight from my PC to my plasma and use it as a second monitor therefore having access to internet and music and movies, in my geek room with my pc I have an old Pioneer 433HDE and connecting the PC to this is as simple as plugging a VGA cable from the graphics card to the front of the media reciever, job done!
But downstairs I have a Pioneer PDP LX5090 Plasma and a Pioneer VSX LX-60, so I thought this would be easy! HDMI straight from the graphics card, 15 meter HDMI through the ceiling to the AMP...Bingo! No, blank screen...On my PC (windows 7 64bit) I have 2 ati radeon 6770's both with HDMI outputs, I can right click on my desktop, select screen resolution and my second monitor will show up, either VSX LX60 if plugged into the amp or PIONEER_TV if plugged directly into the amp, I select extend these displays and apply and it says that its worked in as much as its said keep changes as it does with my old Pioneer Plasma.
All I get is a blank screen, in the amp settings in input settings all I can change is which HDMI input to use for each channel (TV,DVD etc) and if connected directly to the plasma and I go into the tv settings under HDMI input and change it from video to pc still nothing...am I missing something, surely it shoud be possible if it can be done on an older model.
Thanks Simon

Bold word I think you meant tv. 15 meters is a long run for hdmi. If you are saying that bypassing the stereo still gives no video, then move computer closer to tv with a shorter cable.
