Went to the Best Buy just to browse, by the front door was a table with six receivers for sale. They had the Marantz 5007, a lower Denon model, Pioneer 1123 and SC-63, and Yamaha RX-A1020. The Yamaha and SC-63 were the obvious best picks of the bunch. Then I went to the computer section and did some quick research. The fact the Yamaha did 4k upcoversion, and 8 HDMI in, and 2 out and the strange thing, it was heavier than the SC-63, I know, stupid reason, but it tells me there is probably more substantial transformer and other parts inside. The salesman tried to talk me into the Marantz for some reason, it was ok, and it did 4k, but it felt light and I really didn't care for the looks, plus I have always like the Yamaha sound. The salesman admitted the Yamaha sounds better, but the Pioneer has a better video. Well, why do you buy a receiver? For the picture? No, so I chose those Yamaha, and the best part, since it was a demo and already marked down, but he couldn't find the FM and AM antenna's he gave to me for $550.00. Now to figure this thing out and start playing with it. So far I really like it, lots of internet radio stations. Very clean, clear sound. I'm a very happy camper at the moment.
