We're in the process of building a new home and due to set back restriction we were forced to limit the depth of our theater room. The room will have some acoustic treatment including GG and hopefully staggered studs. However, the room dimensions are 15x15 with tray ceilings (four square trays) making the roof 9-10 ft in height. What should I do to plan for treating any potential bass related issues? I will be running an SVS PB13 Ultra. Will adding a second PB13 reduce any potential bass related issues? Also, the room was designed without windows though we may opt for one 4x6 (for future room changes, etc) and keep it blacked out. Will the tray ceilings or a window decrease the chances of bass related issues (nulls)? Thanks for the help.
The ceiling will have four trays similar to this though they will probably be a foot deep:
