I've read nothing but bad things about "equivalent" bulb replacements, but this company on ebay gets nothing but good feedback:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LMP-H160-Lamp-for-Sony-VPL-AW10-VPL-AW15-/190461171508?pt=US_Projector_Lamps_Components&hash=item2c585ed734#ht_2029wt_890

My problem is that I don't want to spend $300 for an official sony lamp for a projector that is now worth around $400. It's on it's second lamp now, and it's been out of use for around a year. I have been trying to sell it, but nobody wants it with an old bulb. Probably because they don't want to spend as much on a bulb for a projector that I'm trying to sell for around $400.

So should I give one of these knock off's a shot and sell it if it works? Or let the pj continue to collect dust in the closet? It does come with 120 day warranty, which is actually better than sony's 90 day warranty.

Like I said, I know about the horror stories, but at the same time, an official sony lamp just costs too much to justify.
