How to change the forum layout

I really don't know much about these CSS scripts. I was just piecing together ones that I saw.
I'll take a look at some of the scripts & see if one them pertains.

What white text are you referring to? Are you using the black skin?

I could not figure it out & asked in another thread which took me to a whole new thread by KevBel.

It appears most people are using the Stylish add-on in Firefox or Chrome. The Stylish add-on is probably the more familiar method for most people. When I was reading up on style sheets I came across information on how to make changes in the Firefox profile & tried it & have just stayed with it.
