Also, I found the stickies list at the top of the HTPC forum was taking up too much room so...
Code:
/* Compact stickies list */
div.forum-announcement ul li {
  display: block;
  width: 45%;
  float: left;
  font-size: 8pt;
}
div.forum-announcement ul li:nth-child(2n) {
  float: right;
}

Thanks so much Kevin for all your time! I noticed that the colors you chose don't match the AVS forum retro colors for me. Maybe they were translated differently on Firefox? Anyway, I used your code as reference and just changed some colors to match the old AVS retro theme better. I think I can get the colors to perfectly match once I get home... since Im doing this through a remote desktop session with a slow connection and limited colors.

I just don't find the old retro colors that nice to be honest :P

Kev, any chance you could show how to change quoted text background color? That's one of the significant elements that didn't stayed unchanged after the stylish change. Currently, it's still grey. Once that's changed, it would be pretty damn close to the way we're used to seeing the forum all thanks to you!

Add this :
Code:
.wiki_markup .quote-container div.quote-block {
  background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.3) !important;
  border: 1px solid white !important;
}

All other forums I've used in the past have been very close to the vBulletin default whilte/blue colors. What made AVS Forum unique was it's unusual retro colors; which have been there since I started using AVSForum back in 1999; which, shortly after, I switched to "MKANET" as my usename.

I feel much more at home with AVSForum back to the way it used to look. Hopefully, its okay with Kevin that I'm offering a more authentic Retro style below; which looks like the screenshot below.

DELETED HERE TO AVOID CONFUSION - wajo

You have two styles (div.forum.announcement, one towards top and one lower down) for the Sticky lists. I found it because I liked the older left-justified version and tried deleting it in your script. That's when I discovered it was in twice.

Perfectly fine :-p

I might merge your colors in with the retro theme, so as to avoid having 2 versions

Sounds good to me.

AVS Retro Style

See the Article for adding an AVS Retro style to FF, Chrome and IE that doesn't affect other websites.

These Style Sheets are really neat. There are 2 other forums I visit that also do not indicate a visited thread, so you don't know if you ever looked there for information or not. But not anymore. I added scripts to FF to also change their visited threads. It makes it so much easier if you're trying to trace your steps & look for a posting.

Does anyone know why the below line in blue is completely ignored below?  This is used to add a bit more spacing in between the tables on the main forum threads list page.  It doesnt make any difference how much I increase the horizontal or vertical table spacing.

Thanks in advance!
