The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962)

Thread Starter
I couldn't find a thread about the french edition, which it will be released in the end of this month, but I found one disc that has the following features:

English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and DD 2.0. Video is MPEG-4 AVC.

French, German, Italian and Spanish DD 2.0 audio tracks, plus English (English CC), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish subtitles are also available.

I took a few screenshots:

If you want to see them in the original size/resolution, click in each one to enlarge.

It seems the german release is dated for June 14, 2012, it has English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and subtitles are: German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hebrew, Icelandic, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Slovenian and Swedish. It might be Region B locked.

P.S. If there's a thread about this release, please move this post. Thanks!

Love this one as well. Got a review to go along with those caps?

I love this film as well. I saw it the first time with my parents at the drive in. The Gene Pitney song is absent from the film, the reason I'm not sure. I loved this song as well. Thanks for the heads up.

Wonder why Paramount is releasing this in France & Germany but no release date yet for the US? I used to import frequently but always ending up paying much more than the eventual US release. Great movie, but I'll wait for a US release.

Here's hoping that either Paramount or Olive Films have a US release out shortly.

Thanks for the heads up.
Ordered from Amazon FR.
Sorry to say but Stewart is the weakest link in the film, imo.
It's not that he's bad or anything just that the rest of the cast is so perfect.
O'Brien - Perfect
Marvin - Really perfect.
Miles - Yum
Martin - Slimily perfect
Strode - StoicallyPerfect
Devine - Bumblingly Perfect
Murray - Besottedly Perfect.
Stewart- Really good.
Wayne - Never had a better performance. The Duke

I would like to import this from Australia. Does the Australian release have DD 2.0 as well? IMDB shows the original audio mix as mono. Even if it is lossy I prefer the original sound mix.

Thanks,
Tom
