Older Sub with shot amp

I'm wondering if somebody could recommend a replacement amp for an older Velodyne sub?

I dont want to be disrespectful but Velodyne wants an arm and a leg for a new amp. The cone is still in great shape as is the enclosure, the amp is just fried.

Sorry I dont have the model right now but I stumbled on this thread at work and thought I'd ask.

OAudio also makes highly regarded plate amps that include parametric equalizer.

My two Parts Express plate amps work very well. You will need to check out the sizes of the plate amps very carefully. The 500w PE BASH amp was used as a replacement after my original plate amp died.
