Did you double check your inputs? Are you cables compromised? How do you have your STB and LG hooked up?
Thanks gelly!
I have Dish Network, so I connect the HDMI from Dish to the LG HDMI1. I have a Sony 3D BD player that I connected to HDMI 2. That's all that are connected to the TV. This is the same as how I connected on my old Samsung TV.
I've also tried the settings as recommended for the LM9600 as shown in this article below (I saved this in Expert2):
This one for the LM9600 has much more settings and includes different settings for both 2D and 3D.

The other set-up I've tried (see below) was for the LM8600 and I saved that in Expert1 (I use the same set-up for both 2D and 3D):

Both set-ups seem to prefer the color temperature to be set to "warm" but I find it to give a pinkish/yellowish look to the picture. I much prefer the "cool" temperature setting which gives a brighter picture but still not as good as I like it to be (or what I have recalled seeing at the different stores).
So on both set-ups from the above links, I've changed the settings to "cool" temperature but kept the other settings. The picture still seems to be "faded" or "pale", not a vey vivid picture.
Do you have the LED local dimming turned on? The 2 settings above has one set (LM8600) to off but the other (LM9600) to set to high, but I really don't see much difference between both settings (LED dimming on or off) or difference betweenExpert1 and Expert2 with the recommended settings from the above links.
Also, is there a way to change the timer on the magic control before it goes to a sleep mode? It seems to default to about 5 sec so I constantly have to wake it as I'm doing the picture settings.
Thanks.
