Has anyone tried one of these? I would be using some Klipsch bookshelf speakers, CD input ... reviews seem decent. Thanks!

a head-fi member posted a decent review of some of the smaller Qinpu products. A Google search of "qinpu skylab review" will bring that up.

I personally haven't heard the products, but am curious to see the responses and your experience should you purchase one smile.gif

I purchased one already smile.gif

I only have around a hour on it so far. First, the fit and finish is excellent ... I would imagine on par with some more expensive gear. I found the imaging to be excellent, the sound to be warm, yet accurate and detailed. I was very surprised.

My den is 12' x 13'
Source: Mac Mini/Firestone USB Headphone/DAC
Speakers: Klipsch KG 4.5's (95db sensitivity)

For the price I think it's a great bargain! I wish it had another set of RCA inputs for a CD player or such, but for a small package I understand. A remote would be nice too. I have yet to use my AKG headphones with it yet, but would imagine them to sound just as good.

I've had one for about a year, works great. Relegated to the bedroom, but had no problem driving a 4 ohm load speaker.

I got mine a week ago and hooked it up to a new pair of Polk rti a1's. Very happy with the sound quality, even my wife thought it sounded good (no interest in electronics or audio). The only other speakers I have are NHT super one's, so I hooked those up to it, and it didn't sound as good. Now the NHT's are not efficient at I believe 86db or so. The Polk's are 89db, with a noticible increase in volume level for sure. Overall a nice secondary system.
