i found someone on craigslist selling this energy speaker set for $220:

1 pair of energy tower e:xl-26b-1
1 pair of energy e:xl-16
1 center channel e:xl-c-1

I understand that these speakers are pretty old now, but im hoping that the sound is good. i really couldnt find any reviews though. what do you guys think? are these speakers worth the selling price?
what should i look for when i go and check out these speakers?

Thanks

how would i know if the woofer surrounds need to be replaced? is it by listening, or something that i can see physically?

it basically comes down to the used speaker set for 220, but i will probably offer something lower, or i can wait until frys has a sale on the jamo s426 set, which also contains 5 speakers.

I currently have those speakers
Bought them new years ago, they still sound great
Just do a physical check of tweeters and woofers and give them a listen
You will not be disappointed

i have the exact same speakers that i purchased new back in the 90s. right now they are just sitting in boxes in the closet, but there's no way i would sell them for that cheap. i'd say it's a great price if they pass inspection.

yea i understand that they are old, but im assuming that for the price, they sound really good. if there is anything around the same price that will sound just as good, let me know.

thanks

if 220 bucks is to high offer a number between $150.00 and 175 bucks and see if they accept your offer.
