Hello,
I have a Panasonic home stereo system. I'm at work and don't have the model number. But, it's a 5 disc DVD player with am/fm stereo built in. The dvd/receiver unit plugs into the sub which plugs into the ac wall outlet. The speakers also plug into the sub.
I live in LA, near downtown LA, and I am picking up Mexican radio stations through the sub.
I have unplugged the speakers from the sub and the interference continues.
With the receiver switched to Aux or DVD or anything other than a radio (ie no sound coming through the speakers) the interference persists. Turning the volume up or down does not alter the interference. It is at a constant volume level.
The cable that connects the receiver to the sub is weird shaped. Sort of in the shape of a computer printer cable.
Any suggestions? It's really frustrating since I can't watch anything when the interference is really loud and interrupting dialog on shows. I live across the street from a concert venue and the other day they had the same problem with one of their amplifiers. I think someone in the sound booth did something (flipped a switch or something) because the interference stopped immediately after the band brought it to his attention. (They weren't playing and we all heard the interference stop, it wasn't that the band played loudly and we simply couldn't hear it.) I mention this in hopes that maybe there is some sort of "box" or something I can get that will boost a signal or something along those lines since this seems to be a problem in the area.
Thank you!
