Quote:What the hell are you talking about?! OF COURSE THEY ARE PRESENT!! They were heard on the 35mm print. They are on the VHS and the laserdisc and the mono track on the DVD.
Did they invent themselves!!!? Did Satan come up from Hell and taint the soundtrack?! The music cues, the scratching screeching sound or whatever it was has always has been part of the film's soundtrack. ALWAYS. And only because they remixed the soundtrack and forgot to include them are they suddenly missing.
I am not going to waste my time arguing with someone who is in complete denial of absolute fact. My God, you are someone who thinks LPCM is compressed and crappy. Line up any 5.1 remix of an older 50's or 60's epic against the laserdisc's PCM and you find the remixes fail on epic levels.
And I dispute everything you wrote. So do not tell me I am not.
This doesn't even cover the fact that all the futuristic sounds were replaced with sounds from T2! Another stupid move on their part!
I HATE THIS REMIX! HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT.
I hate it. And I wouldn't care about it if they'd just include the ORIGINAL sound as an option. But they don't. Everyone would be happy if they would just include the original track. No controversy.
I am thinking of Roger Ebert's review of a Rob Reiner film, where he went on and on saying he HATED the movie. Yeah, I know how he feels.
