47LM5800 v 47LM5850 Differences

Hi everyone,

Was wondering if any of you might know the difference between the 47LM5800 and the 47LM5850. It seems like the 47LM5850 is a wal-mart exclusive model but I can't tell if there are actual differences or if this is just a model number trick to prevent price matching.

The 47LM5850 is available from Costco for 1050$ as well, so it is not exclusive to WalMart.

That being said, I just picked a 47LM5850 up for 830.50$ at WalMart. Considering it comes with a "Smart" Blu-Ray player worth 150$, I believe the TV is worth every penny of the remaining 679.50$ I paid for it.

Still, this bundle is not for everyone. If you want to mess with every possible setting that LG has in its higher end products, you best look at those instead.

The 5850 has only 2 HDMI inputs. The side mounted one is not present. Other than that I believe all other specifications are identical. The BP420 is a nice bonus on the 5850, however.

I contacted LG customer service and managed to get them to send me a pdf copy of the user manuals for the 47LM5850, since it wasn't on their web site.

The email I received didn't state any limitations, and the customer service representative said he would get them to post the manual on their web site, so I'm assuming it's OK to post it up on this forum.
