Interesting looking. But honestly, I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to feel a little cheated by Hollywood recycling everything.

Not exactly saying i won't go see it!

OK, I'm in....

Gotta love trailers. Even the most god awful movie can look decent.
This movie will either be OK or Punisher bad.

I guess no new actions stars have come along to with the stature to fill the boots of Stallone, Willis, and Schwarzenegger, so they're going to have to keep doing it until they die.

Man, Old Judge Dredd would be epic if they got Stallone.

This one couldn't be worse than the original Judge Dredd, but I doubt if it's much better either.

I would pay $1,000 for a ticket to see that! But it has to have Dennis Ro...I mean, Wesley Snipes playing PHOENIX!!! and bring back Bullock and Rob Schneider and that associate Bob dude. tongue.gifbiggrin.gif Taco Bell, foaming over police cars and swear sensors everywhere!
Why do I get the feeling that a YouTube version of this is not far off?
If that happens...the world wins. biggrin.gif

I liked the Dredd trailer and deeply admire the talents of both Karl Urban and Lena Headey. Nevertheless, I have some misgivings about this one. I suspect that I will wait to read what some of you and the critics have to say about the film before sentencing myself to two hours in a theater seeing it. If not suitably impressed by the opinions of others I'll wait for the BD, if I see it at all.

Aw c'mon! No risk, no reward!

Ouch on the opening. Very very bad. Huge bomb. Not good for R rated action films. The studios will all blame the rating.

I'll see go to see it this week before it's gone.
I'll be seeing this tomorrow.

Positive review on bluray.com and sounds like a decent R action flic.

Because of the many favorable reviews and the presence of Urban and Headey, I'm seriously considering seeing the new Dredd film in the theater. Because of my well known detestation of post precessing 3D i will need to find a 2D show time that works but that should be possible.

I just got back from seeing it in 3D.

I suck at reviews but I'll just wing it anyway...

I loved it! A very basic story and plot but I just enjoyed the look, feel, sound and man.... the pure unadulterated violence! Hell yeah, they didnt hold back on this one. The 3D was pretty good too and I'm not usually into that stuff. Karl Urban nailed the part imo. I'll definitely be picking this up when it hits home video Blu-ray.

Matt.... I am anxiously awaiting your opinion on this one. We all know how vocal you are on the subject and you guys can all call me Matt Stevens Jr cuz I'm am right with you, buddy. This felt like a good ol' rated R action movie from ....well, not all that long ago. smile.gif

It's a shame this didn't do well this weekend. I'm hoping word of mouth gets more people into seats.

I thought this was a native 3D effort.
