BD570 - Trying to use 3TB hard drive

I just purchased a 3TB hard drive to use with my BD570. I formated the Drive to NTFS but the player does not recognize it. I can partition the drive with two partitions of 1.5 but when I plug in the drive it recognizes it but it shows "3 drives" instead of two.

Anyone know why it thinks their are three drives?
also
Is there a way around the player not seeing anything above a 2tb drive?

It's likely the same issue that PCs see with 3 TB drives, where they see a maximum of 2^64 bytes of data which limits them to around 2 TB in size. Since many players are built onto some Linux core at this point, or a chipset that has these same limitations, they probably just can't see a full 3 TB drive. Thanks for your help. That makes sense. I figured out that the drive was automatically creating a 60mb hidden "protective" partition so that's why there were three.
