Film looks like video

I recently got the LG65LM6200 and am pleased with the extremely crisp and clear picture. But all the movies I watch are so sharp that they look like shot by a video camera.

I have read on the forums that it may have something to do with Trumotion so I turned it Off and the movies look a bit more like film now.

Can someone please explain this to me?

It's called the Soap Opera Effect and a billion articles have been written on it. Google is your friend.

It's one of the primary reasons people choose plasma over LED/LCD, actually.
