Seriously? I'm sure there will be a hack or little app to go ahead and do this for us, but I can't believe MSFT yanked this functionality out. I've built a Windows 7 HTPC before, but I ended up selling it. I've been considering a new build for a while now, but it seems like this platform is deader than I thought it was. Looks like TiVo is the way to go for cable / OTA TV and for live / streaming, there's boxee / xbmc / whatever, but it's sad to see that Windows won't likely be a part of this future. I wonder if XBOX 720 will be able to tune TV.
