Best 3D blu-ray to show off new 3D plasma

Thread Starter
I've just bought a new Panasonic 60ST50 which is a 3D plasma.

Is there a blu-ray you can recommend to show off it's potential?

Resident Evil: Afterlife is my favorite live action to show off. IMAX: Hubble is excellent as well.

Agree Hubble is good, but out of all the 3D blu rays I've seen, Avatar still rules. Otherwise, I would recommend the new version of Tron.

Almost forgot this one. How to train your dragon is awesome in 3D!biggrin.gif

I agree with rr6966 that Avatar 3D is still the king of 3D in blu-ray format. Hugo is good, too, and you can check out Sammy's Adventures if you like lots of 3D pop-out.

I think "Transformers Dark of the Moon" is my second favorite behind Avatar. 55ST30 here.

The following 3D titles are pretty good:

  1. Animated:
    • Tangled
    • Kung-Fu Panda 2
    • Rio
  2. Live action:
    • Hugo
    • Avatar
    • Resident Evil: Afterlife
    • Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
    • Drive Angry
    • Transformers: Dark of the Moon
  3. Documentary:
    • IMAX - The Ultimate Wave Tahiti
    • IMAX - Hubble

And I've heard that "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas" is pretty good too...haven't seen it yet.

I'd probably replace PIRATES with FINAL DESTINATION 5.

Please take it down a notch. though I support the use of search engines before starting a new topic....

The OP posted this in the BR software forum. We moved it to the 3D content forum for better responses.

Avatar is a no brainer and another vote for tangled, very good 3D and a proverbial "fun for kids of all ages" movie.

I did not think Pirates: On Stranger Tides was that great for 3D at all...
