I am looking at buying my first big screen tv next week. Unless there is some epic 4th of July deal, I think I've decided on either the Panny 50inch UT50, U50, or if my budget allows - ST50.
I do not plan to use 3D AT ALL, so originally I was looking at the U50. I was then told by someone that 3D tv's have better picture regardless, and that I should get the UT or ST models instead. Is this true? I feel like i'm paying extra money for a technology I won't use, but if the PQ is honestly that much better then I'll have to do it.
My budget is under $1,000, and my wants are not major. I would just like a tv that is big, has decent PQ, and has little lag while playing COD on my PS3. =)
