That is pretty much a high end price for glasses, so you'd have to compare these to MonsterVision or CrystalEyes models.
My only point was that UltraClears are the cheap-o brand that prettty much do all I need for a low price. You can continue up the price/quality ladder from there. Really, on my ancient set UltraClears are adequate.
From my research (word of mouth on these boards) the Xpand 102s have a washed out picture quality, they are bulky and heavy, changing the battery is difficult, and I do not believe you can reverse the sync on the glasses. For the discounted price they still sound like a steal, at the normal price not so much.
