Attempting to send a PM results in Body Text data loss

A couple of times now I've tried to send a PM to a member by selecting PM from the person's pulldown list.

I enter the subject and the body text, only to have the forum software bitch at me that the body was empty, after clicking on Post.

It was a long body as well and I wasn't about to type it again, only to have the forum software bit-bucket it again.

I've not had issues responding to PMs, as the software that handles that is different.

I just sent you the entire Declaration of Independence the way you described without issue.

There is no "post" button...only preview or submit.

E-mail to me indicated that I got a PM and ya, it was long. Ya, Submit, not Post.

It might be related to my using Opera under Solaris 10.

Is the PM pop-up Javascript or a Java app?

I just tried sending you one and I get the error: Argument body was specified empty.

That after it did the Loading Content step, It happens every time I try to send one.

I just sent you one via the PM area compose new message. That worked. There is something with the pop-up that does not work.

I remembered something about the last time. You should have received a test PM via the popup. What I have to do to get it to work is compose the message, then highlight all of the text (under X the text is automatically placed into the buffer), click on Sublit, let it error or, then paste the test (middle mouse click) and then hit Submit and it works. It has to error once and then it will work.

Yeah, try it on the same machine with a different browser to confirm. There are some things about both the current platform and the old platform that Opera didn't play nice with.

I don't use other browsers and don't have any set up.

When I get a chance, I run Opera over on the Linux box and see what happens. Push comes to shove, I can also try Opera on a Windblows box.

Ultimately, the Linux box will be my new server, after hardware issues are fixed.
