Currently I have:
TV (LCD 1080P with 2 HDMI In, and 1 Component in)
Projector (720P with 1 HDMI in and 1 Component in)
2 original XBOXes running XBMC and using Component out)
1 bluray player with 1 HDMI and coaxial and optical audio out.
Dish Hopper DVD with 1 HDMI out, 1 Component out, optical audio out.
Nintendo WII with component cables
Monoprice component switch
Hopper and Bluray are connected to TV HDMI 1 and HDMI 2
Monoprice component switch connects Nintendo WII and one of the XBOXes to TV component in.
The other XBOX is connected to the Projector's component in.
In the future I will be updating my XBMC devices to computer with HDMI out.
My question is, should I buy a Monoprice 4X2 HDMI switch to connect a Bluray player and a computer purchased in the future for XBMC to both the TV and the Projector? I don't plan on needing to connect the DISH Hopper to the Projector. The Hopper just needs to be connected to the TV.
My main concern is WAF.
If the monoprice HDMI matrix would not meet WAF, then I would get another refurb bluray player for $65 and get 2 computers running XBMC one for TV and one for Projector.
Would I be able to have the Hopper on TV HDMI 1 input and the monoprice HDMI matrix on TV HDMI 2? I think then the matrix could default to bluray player to TV HDMI 2. That would probably be the most WAF. Or would it be best to have the Hopper also go through the HDMI matrix?
Thanks in advance for any help.
