can A/V cable from Panasonic sdr 50 Camcoder connect to s-video of tv? will it work?

pls check if the following setup will work,
i want to know if the yellow video cable from the a/v out put from camcoder can be connected through svideo input of TV using a RCA to S-video adaptor. pls see image and reply if you have tested...

I doubt the video will not work if the audio cables of RCA are ignored...
Am confused. pls help me with this people.

The little inline composite-to-svideo adapters work, but you won't see as good a video image as is possible. (The inline adapters are very simple filters.) Hook the composite (yellow) video cable to the input of the adapter, and connect an S-video cable from the output of the adapter to the TV. Then press Play on the camcorder.

You don't need audio (red/white) connections, although you won't hear anything without them.

I would not need audio... and its just for monitoring purpose.. so I wont need the best quality.. Hope This will work...
