Oppo 93 componant output

Thread Starter
I am still using a Sony 9000ES DVD player to a CRT projector, but I will be upgrading this within a year. I now have a secondary display, a panny GT50 plasma ; I am going to purchase an Oppo 93 blueray player. I know it will work for the plasma display , but can the componant output a 1080i signal ?, as the projector has no HDMI input. Any other sugestions to feed a Dwin HD700 CRT for now?

Yes, the OPPO will produce 1080i over component for Blu-ray. It's not allowed for copy protected DVD, so you are limited to 480i/p there.

We have an active BDP-93 thread here: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1291855/official-oppo-bdp-93-owners-thread
