So I just love 1080P and DTS Master HD...Problem is our local video store closed so I can no longer rent blu ray. I almost refuse to watch anything less...I read on this forum how folks are ripping BD with lossless audio...I'm really not in to that...Just want to watch a frikkin BD movie with lossless audio...Do any services provide these capeabilities ie. Netflix, AppleTV, BoxieBox? Without the ability to rent BD with lossless I may sell my HT system if I can't EASILY get BD with lossless...Thanks in advance...

You're ready to chuck your entire HD system because you can't find enough Blu-ray movies to rent? You have no interest in Netflix rentals? No access to HD cable? And since you won't watch movies on DVD anymore, you're willing to give up watching movies in the home altogether? Might you not be overreacting?

well here's the thing, we can send men to the moon but I can't rent/stream true blu ray with lossless audio? Rightly or wrongly, without lossless audio, it seems like 4:3 black and white tv to me...Just trying to better understand if Netflix, Apple TV, Boxee Box stream lossless audio...Does anyone know? Thanks...

AFAIK, no streaming service offers lossless audio and most likely none will for the foreseeable future. I watch rented Blu-ray disc all the time but have not been in a rental store in many years and I do not use Redbox kiosk.

I have my disc delivered to my mail box by Blockbuster By Mail, click here for info. Netflix can do similar, click here for info. Many people use Redbox kiosk for disc rental, click here for info.

sign up for a netflix account - you can have an account that gives you 1 blu-ray at a time or multiple.
The streaming will not give you the audio you are looking for

It's very easy to use, I have been getting blu-rays like this for years.
The selection will be much better then your local video store that closed.
