Ok guys been some time. Crazy for the holiday and been getting some progress.


I received my seats from Roman. Was a pleasure to deal with. Answered all my questions. We have been emailing back and forth for like a month. Very very happy with the seats. Only negative part is the brown swivel trays. Not Romans fault that berkline made them for these seats. I hate Brown. Had anyone refinished there trays?

I finally mounted my projector as well. I do not like the way it looks so I think I'm going to enclose it.

I figured the black flat paint would be enough for my ceiling and screen wall. That is a big go. When my projector is on I have reflection halfway along my ceiling frown.gif

So after running some audyssey on my 819 I am pretty impressed by the sound. Only thing is my center channel is hard to understand sometimes when other stuff is going on.

I got a popcorn maker for Christmas wil lnpost pics once I get it together

After you run Audyssey Dynamic EQ, is on by default which can do funky things. Hit the home button on your remote, then go into Audio and scroll around and make sure Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume and Re-Eq are turned off. Also if you're viewing a BD with a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack you'll want to turn off "Late Night".

If after all of that you're still not happy, run Audyssey again. Also check out the Audyssey thread for help on microphone placement.

I also received a popcorn machine for Christmas. Even though I've got a ways to go on my theater it won't stop me of "experimenting" with fresh popcorn. smile.gif

Some updated pics. I ended up getting some triple black velvet from joann fabrics with a coupon at 7 bucks a yard. My bad since I was able to get it right the. And there. I started by doing the sides 5 feet out and the ceiling so far

Sorry have not updated been rel busy lately. Nothing has chaned in the basement. I had to start concentrating on my patio outside and Saving the money.

I decided that I don't like how my towers look for my side and rear channels. I am sure they are overkill as well. The bad part is for my martin Logan setup the side and rears are just as expensive as the towers.

Any opinions on mismatching my front martin Logan's to the rear and side surrounds? Maybe something like klipsch ? Or any suggestions? For some odd reason I think I might be better off mounting rear channels behind me up high on the wall. Been trying to read alot about dipole and bipole Speakers but not really sure if I would benefit from it.

Any suggestions guys

Although if you made those, you might like them so much you start using them for your mains. It's high sensitivity which means you only need a handful of watts for your normal listening levels, and the waveguide controls off-axis response.

I'm starting to think I might benefit more from a 5.1 setup. My sides are about 2 feet in front of me. All speakers are at ear height in which might be another problem. Just not happy with the sound going to try some things this weekend

So I decided to take the center chanel off my wall. It sounded better but since I am far from a handy man i put a few holes in the wall when mounting
