Not sure if this is a really good 4tb drive or not. It seems, from reviews, to be pretty decent.

It is on sale at Oak Technologies (anyone have experience with them?) for 239.99. So, buying 5 at this price is like buying 4 at regular retail and getting a 5th free. Yay!

Here's the listing at ResellerRatings.com: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Oaktechnology_Digital_Sales_6. Not good.

Newegg had one review of this 4TB drive from someone who ordered 10. 4 failed within one day.

I've had 4-2TB Hitachi's running strong for a year now and I work them too.

Ouch! Could Newegg's packaging have contributed? They used to be pretty nonchalant with bare drives: a little bubble-wrap and toss them into a box to rattle around like the beans in maracas.

This sort of review was the reason I posted another topic on here just asking people's experiences with larger internal hdd's. I see a lot of problems in the reviews for most 4tb internal drives and a lot of 3tb internal drives as well... makes me fearful of buying any.

I have around six 3TB drives (one or two may be WD, the rest Seagate) and 2 Hitachi 4TB coolspin drives. So far I haven't had any issues or problems with these. The age range of the 3TB drives is approximately 1 month to 10 months. I've had the 4TB drives for approximately 2 months.

Newegg reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. First, the number of reviews is not equal to the number of people that ordered them. And second, a dissatisfied customer is more likely to review a product than a customer that is satisfied. When I order something I expect it to work, so when I get it and it works, that's expected and I probably won't leave a review. Now if I get a product that's DOA then I might be more inclined to complain. So what you see on Newegg is not always accurate.

I just got 2 3TB WD Green's and both installed with no problems.
