Acer H5360 - Stimulate Pixel Death on DLP projector?

Thread Starter
I am the currently unhappy owner of a H5360, the projector is less than 2y old (less than 1000h playback) and is still under warranty. A white pixel appeared last week during playback, not exactly in the middle, but it makes watching movies impossible. I contacted the customer service which categorically refused to repair it, even after I offered to pay. Apparently, there must be more than 4 dead pixels before they accept to repair. I think it's scandalous, but this is not the point here.

I googled a bit and searched the forum for solutions but, unless I'm mistaken, there is not much I can do.

So my question is, can I somehow stimulate pixel death? I need three more smile.gif Or, is there an easier solution that I overlooked?

Thanks in advance for you help.

Static electricity will kill every electronic device. To generate static electricity take your cat and some rubber or use a Van de Graaff generator
