I mean think about it , if someone is projecting onto screen in bright daytime from 20 feet away, and another person is posting in batcave from 8 feet away a different pj on list, you can see the problems.
Only test I would trust is site or person who tested all these models under exact same conditions, Period.

As I understand the people that took this ,measurements are form this site:

Seams to me like a legit test but who knows.....

I want to buy projector
Used in education in the classroom

After reading all the posts

Decided to choose lg pb60g

Because of the light weight and the computer does not need

The most important question for me

Presentations

Projector read directly from the memory easily???

Projector read all inimation in slid or slid only ???

I do not want to bring the computer with me

I want to bring Projector only

I hope you could understand me

And that the translation is clear

Thank you

Nice unit for what you are planning to use it for . Also consider the Pa70. Easy to read from a flash drive. . MAKE SURE you test that the files are formatted correctly. There are MANY format converting programs available google Video converting programs.

Also better to travel with a small self powered speaker system since the one in the projector WILL NOT COVER a class of students. Better to use a REAL table type stand instead of a tripod mounting stand in case anyone trips over the cable and knocks EVERYTHING down. I saw a brand new AAXA LED projector take a fatal header when some guy tripped over the power cable and it went dark

Hi Espeto I see you here and in elotrolado and i really amazed by the picture of your pa60g
I have one projector already mitsubishi hc3800 1080 and I very happy with it but I want one for different use .
I want to use for any moment than I want to see a big picture and I want to ask to you or any other
if the picture is enough for make me happy or put me nervous for a bad buy when i compare with the other projector.

I'm know than the first with lamp is better picture for sure but I want to know if the lg is watchable.

Fears

Picture to dim over any other

I do not want the best picture i want a big 100" enjoyable picture.

Cheers

Saludos

This little projector is perfect for the use you mention.
The picture quality is very good and you can see many files from the USB port (including MKV movies up to 30GB).
I am very surprised with this mini projector.
Adjusting the picture settings in expert mode you get an amazing quality in a tiny projector.

Hello guys, I've just bough this tiny magnificent video projector and I'm waiting for it to be delivered home!

Have you found a method to play movie with sound DTS?

p.s. espetodesardina (guessing I'm part of the fews who actually understand your nickname biggrin.gif) can you write your updated configuration? I've seen you talked about it posting a picture from Iron Man!

Nope, according to the review, they were testing at the same environment with the same person, captured by the same camera and the brightness measurement done by the same device.

At the time I responded I didn't know it was taken from one site. So they did the test the way I recommended, with same person at same time, same equipment/camera/etc ... all lined up. That was right conditions for the test.
Now since it was chinese site, hard to tell from translation program were the tests all done with PJ on brightest mode or eco mode (were they all checked before the test) . If they were all set on brightest mode, then the tests would be valid.
If this came from english site it would be easier to figure out and ask questions. It would be nice if the lumens for each PJ were listed by brightest mode, middle mode, and eco mode, so we know each was tested since all 3 listings would be their.

Yes you are right, the writer didn't mention about the brightness setting so I assume that all the measurement were done on the default brightness mode. In fact, I believe some of the model did overrated on brightness level such as Qumi, Coolux and other "China" brand projectors.

By the way, Chinese is my mother tongue language so I can completely understand the article without translation. Sorry for my poor English :P

The default setting on the pa70g is middle brightness, so the only way I could know for sure if their ratings are correct is if they posted on 3 brightness settings and the lumen output of each.

You are implying they might have favored the "china" brands from your comment. That could be true , I don't know. But if they posted the 3 brightness settings for each PJ, then there would be no question about it and we could compare with USA tests, since the differences between the 3 listed settings could be repeated and same ratio should be the same between the 3 settings.

I think the review seems good, and hope an english version of it is done, so we can read the comments and ask for clarification.

Maybe post a comment on that site since you speak chinese and read other people's comments.

Now the Lg pb60g is a 500 lumen PJ, but if it was being tested on default middle setting, it could very well be 250-300 lumens depending on lighting of room.

Hi Nightwalker,

I have the LGpb60g projector and I have the problem that it does not load big powerpoint presentations from usb, did you solve this problem with your projector? if yes, how?
Thanks in advance
Thanks to espetodesardina (skewered sardines)

yesterday I was in a local electro mart and had a piece of it in my hand. It has the tripot hole and 4 others for standart PJ ceiling mounts.

Gracias á espetodesardina.

Ayer fui a un supermercado de electronicos y tuve la possibilidad de tener un ejemplo del projector a mis manos.
Me gustó que tiene los agujeros para trípode y los para los normales montajes en el techo.

@ espetodesardina

Yes I am sure, watch again in the little foots of the projector. There in the "rings" where some screw holes. Or I did see some ghosts?

OT: Has entendido my español? He aprendido lo tres años a la escuela quando he echo el bachilerato.

Is it sharp all over the screen?

That is the question which is the most important. In the PA70 thread the people are saying that the earliest productions tend to have no focus bug. Maybe its the same at the pb60....

Greetings from germany

Greetings from germany

I would not base too much on those pics as they are way over processed.

Sharpness is turned up far too high (80/100) and both the PB60 and PA70 can look much better than what is shown in those images (at least for those that value an accurate cinematic image).

With that said... obviously everyone has a right to watch their display as they wish.

Thanks for reply DaGamePimp and espetodesardina.

@ DaGamePimp

It is known that almost every LED Projector model has some problems with the optics and the focus. This is meant, not the settings itself.

I understand that is what you meant and I am aware of the focal issues on many LED projectors.

I went through three PA70G's myself, however when you ask if the image is that sharp all across the screen to someone that has their sharpness set way too high then it deserves being pointed out. wink.gif

Tried his settings, but i don't like it at all. Way too high sharpness settings, oversaturated colours. Picture is not natural.

Maybe if you post your settings might see the difference ...
The Ten Commandments on Bluray, with high sharpness settings and oversaturated colours.A disaster, better to see more natural settings as Jagermester tongue.gif

Respect the opinions but my settings are to get the maximum quality/luminosity in a projector image of just 500 lumens.
Talking is easy, make screenshots not so much.
Certainly this is what I do and I share it with other users smile.gif
