I'd be curious to know how the new "platform" has affected overall traffic on the site. It seems like it's down from what it once was. Topics that used to generate quite a bit of discussion each day are decaying more rapidly. New topics (that you can sink your teeth into) are fewer. Are we just in the summer doldrums or do you think the new regime has kinda bummed out a bunch of folks? I guess you can't fault the revised ownership for seeking to further monetize the site. But in the process I feel it has subtracted from the experience once enjoyed by budding and veteran home cinema enthusiasts alike in what was once a low key, minimally commercial setting. It's as if a cozy neighborhood pub has changed hands and been turned into a slick tourist destination.
