Anybody tried Turntable + T-Amps before?

Hi there! Ok this is the gist of the situation:

My mate has a Pioneer PL-990 TT handed over to him (free)
http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-PL-990-Automatic-Stereo-Turntable/dp/B00009QORL

Currently for his PC he is using a Topping TP22 T-Amp
http://www.houseofdap.com/topping-tp22-t-amp-tk2050-tc2000-tp2050-digital-amplifier.html
One of the inputs is hooked up to his PC but luckily this little amp has 2 inputs tongue.gif

He just got a pair of Polk RTi6 speakers which were on sale $149.99 last month
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290252

I am totally alien to a turn table but from what i gather:

1. That Pioneer TT has an inbuilt/integrated TT pre amp and so
2. Just hook up TT to TP22 via RCA to the remaining input on amp?

Are my assumptions correct and all the above would hook up without issue?

The Amazon page for the TT says "Simply connect to any auxilliary/line input on our amplifier or mini system" so it should connect up fine.

Yes. All you need is an amplifier with a line level input and for your convenience, a volume control.

Here's the line input connection:

450

(Please see the RCA jacks on the right)

And here is the volume control:

464

Please notice the volume control on the right.

One of the switches is a power switch and the other selects between the two sets of line inputs.

Not strange stories, predictable results! ;-)

You are good to go if the TT has a good RIAA preamp built into it.
