I've got a similar setup, 6.1 in living room, and stereo in the batch/bedroom and the patio speakers (the wires are split, not elegant but it works, the house came wired this way). Both the bad/bedroom location and the patio have a rotary volume dial so the volume can be reduced at each location individually. Unfortunately I have the same issue as you, the volume of the house/patio speakers is far less than that of my 6.1 system. I can only assume it has to do with the wire split and the in-ceiling speakers being less efficient than my Orbs and Hsu sub.
I guess that if you use Zone2 rather than SpeakerB, you could independently control the volume of the second zone, and the volume difference might not be such an issue?
