I would like to set up some extensions on my network like the one laid out in this thread:

But I need more hardwired ethernet ports for Sage Extenders, a Lutron Controller and computers.

I haven't seen one use a switch as the main router. Would a simple linksys switch like this one be able to be used in this setup?

With 2 or three of these wireless routers:

Or would I need to use one of the wireless routers for the one plugged into the modem and use the switch and other wireless routers off of that?

I understand that I can use the ports on the other wireless routers, however they won't be in convenient locations to plug anything into as all my wires currently come into an equipment closet and the house has foam insulation so its not feasible to run wires from that closet to opposite corners of the house...

Thanks!
